Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Monday

Good Morning year 5. Here is your work for today. Remember you should also be using prodigy and ttrock stars to help your maths learning and spag.com for your literacy.

Maths

Use the following link

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/

complete lesson 1 - adding decimals within 1.

This is new learning for you so it will start off quite slowly and then build up over the next few weeks, so please do not move onto lesson 2 today.

If you would like some more maths games to play look on the website below.

BLUE GROUP

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/

complete lesson 1 - equivalent fractions

Literacy

We are going to spend the next two weeks looking at writing a story, thinking carefully about planning, writing and editing. We will think about the structure of the story and will also look at our grammar skills to help us write a really good quality story using all your Year 5 skills. The document I have attached will be used for these sessions. Each day I will tell you which parts to look at, if you complete them then you can also use Spag.com. There are new tests and it is also a good idea to revisit any you have not got 100% in - sometimes the website is slow and will not let you access them but just be patient. Also remember your spelling login and continue to practise these - writing them in sentences to show you understand the meaning.

The Game (Link below - talk for writing)

Read pages 1,2 and 3 then have a look at the video

Read Pages 4,5,6 and 7 answer the questions as you go along.

Once you have answered the questions use the link on page 4 to listen to the story being read to you.

History

We completed our topic on the Victorians so I have been looking at people throughout history that I thought were interesting.

Follow the link below to find out about Mary Anning. Have a go at drawing something she might have found.
