Literacy

Today we have attached a writing frame about what you see in the summer. Can you write 3 sentences to describe what you can see? Where are you? What is it like there? What can you feel or hear? Then draw a picture to match your sentences. Remember our goal for the end of the year is to be able to write some sentences clearly and independently!

Don’t forget the checklist we use in class when writing. Have you used your Fred fingers to spell words? Have you got finger spaces between your words? Are your letters well formed? If you notice a letter is the wrong way you could practice that to! Each sentence should start with a capital letter and end with a full stop.

Maths

This week are working through our maths summer booklet as it is the last week before we break up for the summer holidays. The first activity we are going to complete is the summer addition on page 4. Remember careful counting and we are finding out how many we have altogether.

Here is a shape pattern game for you to have a go at.

Topic

What type of clothes do you wear in the Summer? Are they the same as the clothes you wear in the winter? Why do you wear those clothes in the Summer? Why do you wear those clothes in the Winter? Attached is a sorting activity. Cut out the different types of clothes, do you wear them in the Summer or the Winter?
