This week we will be looking at subtraction. Today we are going to take away by counting back.

Grammar

Today we are going to be looking at joining words.

Joining words or conjunctions are used to join sentences.
Look at this example:
Sentence 1: Mum made a cake.
Sentence 2: She put it in the oven.
You can make one sentence by using and.
Mum made a cake and she put it in the oven.
Now look at this example:
Sentence 1: It was cold.

Sentence 2: It was raining.

You can make one sentence by using and.

It was cold and it was raining.

Now it is your turn. Use the conjunction and to write sentences.

History

Today we are going to be looking at a significant invention from the past.
