Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Good morning

I hope you have had a lovely weekend.

Here is your learning for today.

We are going to start with reading.

I have attached a copy of a report about garden birds. I would like you to read this with your grown up and then answer the questions about it.

This week we will be looking at subtraction. Today we are going to take away by counting back.

To revise counting back join in with this maths lesson. Don't worry about stopping to complete the questions, I have attached your learning to complete after you have watched the video.

Today we are going to be looking at joining words.

Joining words or conjunctions are used to join sentences.
Look at this example:
Sentence 1: Mum made a cake.
Sentence 2: She put it in the oven.
You can make one sentence by using and.
Mum made a cake and she put it in the oven.
Now look at this example:
Sentence 1: It was cold.

Sentence 2: It was raining.

You can make one sentence by using and.

It was cold and it was raining.

Now it is your turn. Use the conjunction and to write sentences.

Today we are going to be looking at a significant invention from the past.

Take a look at this picture and see if you know what it is?

What questions do you have about the machine? Write them down before you find out more about it.

Now it is time to find out all about it.

First click on the link to find out about the machine.

Did you think it was a printing press?

Now watch the short film to find out how it works.

Look at the power point to find out more about the printing press then complete your learning.
