Greenfield Primary School

Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Monday

It's Marvellous Monday!

Good Morning Reception, it's time to start a brand new week of learning! Today we are going to remind ourselves of the months of the year with this great song:

Remember, we love to see your work! Please send us some pictures of your learning this week to our class email: carle@greenfield.walsall.sch.uk

RML:

As usual, your three phonics sessions will be available on the Ruth Miskin YouTube channel at 9:30am. Please access these via the following link: https://www.youtube.com/c/RuthMiskinTrainingEdu/featured%C2%A0

We have seen some amazing example of the writing that you produce during these sessions, and would love for you to send us some more examples via our email!

Literacy:

This week is our last week of our farm topic. Have you enjoyed learning about farms? We’ve chosen a super nursery rhyme to link to our farm learning. It’s called Old McDonald had a Farm, do you know it already? Can you join in with the actions?

Today we would like you to use the worksheet to match the animals to their young. Look carefully at what they are called. Did you know all of these names before?

Maths:

Our learning today is about recognising numbers we’ve learnt already.

Watch this clip today to start your learning: https://vimeo.com/516809326

Today we would like you to play a game of hopscotch outside with your grownup.

Music:

This afternoon we will be learning some music. Beep-Beep! Time to get on board the big red bus. Our bus journey will take us on a musical adventure through the streets of London. We will use singing games to explore note duration and improvise rhythms with a rapping bus driver. This lesson's imaginative listening will take us on a bus tour through the Queen's neighbourhood, as we listen to Eric Coates' "Knightsbridge Suite". https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/sitting-on-the-bus-c4t64d
