Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Maths

Remember that our number system is based on 10s and if digits move place value they change by multiples of 10:

 6 x 10 =60

 6 x 100 = 600

If we multiply by 10, 100, 1000 ...  the place value of the digit changes as it moves to the left and zeros become place holders.

The same thing is true if we divide by 10, 100, 1000 ... but this time the place value of the digit decreases as it moves to the right:

6 / 10 = 0.6

6 / 100 = 0.06

6 / 1000 = 0.006

Remember that these digits have not changes, they have just moved to a different place value column.
