Our class author is Dick King-Smith. He has written many famous books about animals, such as: The Hodgeheg, The Clever Duck, The Invisible Dog, The Fox Buster and The Sheep Pig.
As part of our Author Week, we read the story 'Aristotle' which the children enjoyed. The children learnt about Dick King-Smith and they wrote their own biography about him and his life. They also drew picture scenes from the book, in the style of the illustrator 'Bob Graham.' They designed their own front cover for this book and they reviewed the book, after we had finished the story. See below some of the fantastic pieces of work they created.
We have just recently read the story of 'The Hodgeheg.' This book was a favourite book that many of the children in our class really enjoyed. Some children enjoyed it so much that they decided to read it again during our daily ERIC (Everybody Reads In Class for 15 minutes) sessions.
