Reciprocal Reading

Today, you must read on from where you left off yesterday, to the end of Chapter 1 of The Iron Man. Work through the PowerPoint and complete the written task. 

Here is the order we usually follow in class for Reciprocal Reading:

• Predict (sensible guess)
• Read the pages
• Clarify the meaning of words you didn’t know 
• Answer the questions
• Summarise

Literacy

Today, your task is to use what you have learnt this week to write a character description of the Iron Man. Remember you must describe both his appearance and personality. 

Attached is a copy of your Learning Challenge and Success Criteria. Try to include everything from your SC!

Maths

Green - Today, you will be learning to use written methods for multiplication. This will require you to use your knowledge of partitioning numbers to find the answer. Attached is a PowerPoint to work through and a question sheet for you to have a go at independently. You also have an answer sheet so that you can check your answers afterwards.

ROY - Today, you will be learning to divide by 3. This means sharing things into 3 groups, or groups of 3. Attached is a PowerPoint to work through and a question sheet for you to have a go at independently. You also have an answer sheet so that you can check your answers afterwards.

Blue - Today, you will be learning to order groups of objects. When ordering objects, you may need to order from biggest to smallest or smallest to biggest. It is important that  you read and understand the mathematical language for ordering and comparing so that you put things in the right order. Attached is a PowerPoint to work through and a question sheet for you to have a go at independently. You also have an answer sheet so that you can check your answers afterwards.
