Good morning,
It's Friday! The weekend is almost here.
I hope you have thought of some fun things to do at home over the weekend!
Well done for learning at home and making sure you don't miss anything that you would have completed at school!
Have a fantastic Friday!
Today you are going to read the text which covers pages 65-72.
You are then going to:
For your writing learning today you are going to write the next day of the diary!
In this entry you will focus on the onward journey to the Homely House and meeting the elves who were in the trees!
Use your adjective worksheet to help you write descriptive and emotive sentences.
Once you have finished your diary entry, I would like you to use the attached checklist to see if you have included all the features and expectations for your diary entry!
I'm looking forward to reading your diary entry!
I hope you have enjoyed your fraction learning this week.
Today we are learning how to turn an improper fraction into a mixed number. Your brilliant division and multiplication skills will help you through this learning.
Think back to last week when we divided with remainders as this will help you convert improper fractions to mixed numbers.
For example:
11/5 If I divide 11 by 5 I know it equals 2 remainder 1.
As I am writing fractions that is 2 wholes and 1/5.
Once you watch your learning video this will make more sense.
Watch the video below and then work your way through the worksheet.
Are you ready to learn more about biomes?
Today we are learning about ice biomes!
The power point attached below has lots of information and some links to some videos. The first video should only be watched up to 6 minutes and 30 seconds!
For your first activity you need to match key vocabulary to the definitions.
The second activity asks you to think about each of the ice biomes and explain the climates and features of each before comparing them, drawing on the similarities and differences.
Finally, your final activity asks you to consider what human processes are doing to the ice biomes, this doesn't have a paper activity to complete - you can choose how to present your findings! (Written - illustrated - acted)
