Greenfield Primary School

Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Friday

It's Fabulous Friday!

Good Morning Reception! We've made it to the end of another week of home learning. You and your grownups are all doing a fantastic job and we are so proud of you!

Please drop us an email to carle@greenfield.walsall.sch.uk - we love to see pictures of your fantastic learning!

Get Moving!

We are going to get ourselves ready for our learning by joining in with one of Mrs Evans’ favourite songs, footloose!

RML:

Don't forget your last RML lesson of this week! Access it at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo7fbLgY2oA_cFCIg9GdxtQ

We have seen some absolutely amazing pieces of work that you have done during phonics this week! Could you send us some today?

Literacy:

This week we have been reading the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Watch the story for one last time below.

Today we would like you to think about the story, what was your favourite part? Why? Did you like the story? Why?

Use the link below to write your own book review of this story.

Maths:

For our maths today, we are going to be counting to 20. Last week, in class we learnt how to recognise and write numbers to 20. To refresh our brains; watch the clip below to count to 20.

Today we are going to carefully count so we can compare amounts. First watch this clip below to see today’s learning: https://vimeo.com/528933086

Now we want you to count carefully and think about which number is the biggest, this is the container that holds the most. Click the link below to see the numbers. You can use the number cards from yesterday to turn over 3 and decide which is the biggest. Try this a few times, you could take it in turns with your grown up too.

PSHE:

In today’s session, we'll be exploring and learning how to play some outdoor games in the current climate. Transmission of germs will be touched upon as well as the importance of social distancing during the teachings of the games. We will run through the rules of each game introduced and then practise playing them with our families and friends. Each game will support children’s physical, personal, emotional and social wellbeing.
