Greenfield Primary School

Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Friday 29th January

It's Fabulous Friday!

Good Morning Reception! Today is the last day of another week of home learning. We hope that you've had lots of fun so far, and are looking forward to today's activities.

Let's start of our day by looking at some of your fantastic learning from yesterday:

Please drop us an email to carle@greenfield.walsall.sch.uk - we love to see pictures of your fantastic learning!

Get Moving!

Which PE activity are you going to do today? Remember to look at our PE page for ideas! Joe Wick's will be leading another live PE lesson at 9:30, access it here: https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1

We are going to get ourselves ready for our learning by watching some of Oti's Boogie Beebies. Which dance move is she going to teach you today? - https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000jsf1/otis-boogie-beebies-series-1-1-zoom-to-the-moon

RML:

Don't forget your last RML lesson of this week! Access it at the following linkhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo7fbLgY2oA_cFCIg9GdxtQ

We have seen some absolutely amazing pieces of work that you have done during phonics this week! Could you send us some today?

Literacy:

Do you remember the meal you designed yesterday? Today I want you to create a list of what you would need to create this meal. A list means that each new word has its own line. You can use the worksheet attached or you can write a list on paper at home. Remember to use those Fred fingers and write on the line. I can’t wait to see your super writing!

Extension:

Now this part is up to your grown up. If it is possible, could you take this list shopping and have a go at making this meal? I understand that this might not be possible so you could create a pretend version of this meal using playdough, lego or items from outside like soil and pebbles. I would love to see photos of what you create!

Maths:

We are going to have one more look at the word ‘pairs’ today. Can you remember what it means?

To reinforce our learning about pairs, we are going to play a fun game. We would like you to use your memory to figure out which matching pairs of cards go together.

It is available online at the following link: https://www.educaplay.com/game/8121884-match_the_pairs.html

Once you’ve had a go at the above game, why not have a try at the number version which uses numbers to 8. You will need to try and identify the numbers and match them to the group of objects. Have fun! (and don’t worry if you find it a bit tricky – you are still doing super learning just by practicing) : https://www.educaplay.com/game/8122251-match_the_pairs.html

Extra challenge:

Can you design your own pairs game? You could use just pictures, just numbers, or a mixture of both. We would love to see what you create!

Creative:

Today is the last day of our work on Jasper’s Beanstalk. We hope you’ve enjoyed all of the activities that you’ve done! For our creative task today, we would like you to add an extra part to the story. We would like you to have a think about what happened next - what did Jasper do with the Beanstalk? Did he show his friend the Robin? Did he cut it down? Was there anything at the top?

Once you’ve thought of your idea, we would like you to create it! You could draw a picture, make a model, or even act it out. Please show us your amazing work once it is finished, we are really looking forward to seeing what you get up to!

Our example: We think that Jasper’s beanstalk started to grow its own magical beans. Jasper decided to plant them all and grew a huge beanstalk forest!

Reception - you have finished another week of home learning! We are so impressed with everything that you have been getting up to, you are all superstars ⭐

Have a fantastic weekend and we'll see you back here on Monday for some more super learning!

😄
