Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Friday 27th March

It’s Friday guys! Today is going to be a brilliant day, let’s get moving!

For today’s learning we have…

Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:

Set 1 sounds at 9:30am or 12:30pm

Set 2 sounds at 10:00am or 1:00pm

Set 3 sounds at 10:30am or 1:30pm

Today is our handwriting and spelling day. See the link I’ve attached and remember your lead ins and always start on the line. You don’t have to print this out, you can practise them on a piece of paper at home.

This week we are learning about the story of a meerkat called Sunny. The book is called Meerkat Mail, watch it here by clicking on this link

Now we know the story well we are going to write a retell, what does Sunny do on each day? How does he feel? You could even try and create your own letters like the ones in the book. This is part of my retell that I have started to write today…

Sunny lives in the Kalahari dessert, it is a very dry and very hot place to live. Sometimes Sunny thinks it is too hot. Sunny comes from a large family and they do everything together. They are very close but sometimes Sunny thinks they are too close. Sunny sometimes asks himself, is there a better place to live? One day Sunny packs his bag and goes on an adventure to find the perfect place to live.

For our maths warm up let’s test those brains with some ordering of numbers starting with the smallest first:

G/Y/R/O: Your learning for today is counting in 5s. Here is a song for you to refresh your brains:

Now click on the Word document below.

Remember to practise your times tables with Times Tables Rock Stars.

Blue group your learning today is counting amounts to 20. Here is a song for you to join in with

Now click on the document below. Remember to count carefully and form numbers carefully.

Last week we were using the Beebots to create our own programmes. I found this website that allows you to create your own programmes. You can change the mat so you can move to different things, this one is different letters of the alphabet, see if you can spell out your name. Give it a go

Have a go at drawing Sunny the meerkat by following one of these links, there are 3 for you to choose from:

How can you stay healthy? Tell your grown-up some ways you think you can stay healthy.

Click the link below to watch a video which has lots of ways to stay healthy.

Did you get all of them?

What I want you to do today for your Science learning is create a poster that will tell people how they can stay healthy. Make sure it looks interesting as it needs to catch the eyes of the people who look at it. Include pictures and important information.
