Summary - How we can relate the message of this poem to our lives today.
Writing - Shakespeare: Macbeth - Writing a Setting Description
In this lesson, we will use the plan from the previous lesson to write a description of the play's setting. The success criteria will be shared in the video and we will use this to help us to complete the writing. In sections, the teacher will model writing the setting description whilst using the plan and success criteria to develop ideas. Students will then begin their own writing and continue writing it after until it is complete. Below is my example using the features: Adverbs, expanded noun phrases, adverbials, vocabulary from our plan:
Macbeth Setting Description
Suddenly, blinding lightning whipped through the dense air like silver daggers. While ear-splitting cracks illuminated the pale skin of the ghostly figures, as they plotted and schemed. From the group, a shrivelled-skinned demon towered over the two other witches.
Make sure you come up with your own ideas and do not just copy the sentences from the video. I have all of those sentences written down so make your own ideas that are better than those.
Green and Yellow - Write a detailed setting description that creates a clear atmosphere using all the writing skills you have learnt these past 2 weeks.
Orange and Red - Write a detailed setting description aiming to create an atmosphere that use many or all of the writing skills you have learnt these past 2 weeks.
Blue - Write a detailed setting description aiming to create a clear image in the reader's head, that use many of the writing skills you have learnt these past 2 weeks. Especially: similes, expanded noun phrases and compound sentences.
Maths - Prodigy: Go to prodigygame
This week I would like all children to access prodigy. The new class code is - A572D7A. It seems that they have updated it. Sorry for any issues this may have caused.
The questions today are set on division - closely matching what you have been asked to do in your learning this week.
Last weeks top 3 players were:

Amazing scores, keep up the excellent work team. Who can be top next week?
So today login, as I can see who has accessed the site each day. Have a go at a few questions. If you do not know your login please email me for your details. I can track these answers, using the website, I will be able to see how well you have done. Don't worry, after a few questions the game will go back to asking you a little bit of everything, until next time I make it ask specific questions.

Watch this video from Burger King - as you watch it think about these questions:
There are many things that exist on the internet and we need to be careful. In Donald Trump's words there is such a thing as - FAKE NEWS! So I ask you:
Is the chocolate Whopper real?
Task 1 -
Go here ‘allaboutexplorers.com/hunts’ and find out about - Sir Francis Drake.
Find out the key information about his life: Birthday, family, key events and death. Make sure you look at both of the listed pages to check that the facts that you find are correct
Task 2 -
Compare the facts from the 2 pages you were given to find the facts from. What did you discover?
What have you learnt from today is, that you need to be careful of from now on when using websites to gather information. Explain this to me in a paragraph. Use your best handwriting and use a range of grammar skills. Email me what you have found out.
