Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Friday

Morning Ahlberg class, it is Friday, what day was it yesterday can you remember? What day will it be tomorrow then? Today it is the Ghostbusters dance, are you ready? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYgIVc5Jvjg

For today’s learning we have…

RWI

One lesson will show at 9.30am each day and be available for 24 hours.

If you are in Mrs Daniel’s RML group you will need to watch set 1. If you are in Ms Ellson’s or Mrs Riley’s RML group you will need to watch the Set 2 Speed sounds, word time and spelling videos. You should watch these every day.

Click here to find your session.

Literacy

YGRO groups:

Today we are going to look at our spelling families.

These special friends make the same sound but are spelt differently.

ow (blow the snow)

o-e (phone home)

oa (goat in a boat)

Look at these words, where does the sound come in each of these words?

blow, grow, coat, road, hope, stone

You are going to sort the words into the different ways of spelling this sound like we do in class. When you have finished choose 6 words and write a sentence for each.

Can you spell each of the words on the challenge activity?

See if a grown up can quiz you on spelling these words too! How many words can you spell correctly?

Blue group:

Last week we practised spelling words with special friends sh.

Today we are going to spell words with ch and sh.

First click here to watch the video and see if you can read words with special friends ch.

Now I would like you to look at your worksheet. You are going to spell words with sh and ch in.

You will need to use Fred fingers to help you spell the words. Pinch the sound on each finger then write it down.

Maths

GYOR groups:

Click here and let’s get our brains warmed up by counting in our 5s.

Today our learning is all about comparing maths sentences. Do you remember your learning yesterday? Do you remember what <, > and = mean?

ROY groups you need to work out the maths story and then use the right sign to compare the sentences.

Green group you have something a little more challenging today, you need to draw a picture for the maths story and then you need to think of your own maths story that will be > (more than), < (less than) or = (equal to) it.

Blue group:

First click here and let’s start off with a song to warm our brains up:

This week we have been learning about greater and fewer. Today I want you to first count the amount and only colour in the one that has the most on the first page and the least on the second page.

Computing

Look at the power point, what does each picture show? What do you think the characters could be called? What might they be saying? If the pictures were in a different order would the story still make sense?

Today I would like you to make your own photo story this term. Today we are going to plan our story. I would like you to use the planning sheet to draw the pictures and think about what might be happening. Think about the flow of your story:

Picture 1 = setting & characters

Picture 2 = the problem

Picture 3 = the end, is your story going to have a happy or sad ending?

P.E

We would usually be doing our workout outside. But now things are a bit different. You can go to the park and use the apparatus to get fit and you can go for the walk to stay fit. Today we are going to watch this clip of Joe Wick and see who can keep up. I’ll be trying it at school too. You can do it!
