Reading
Today, you are going to read a non-fiction text called ‘Pet Care of Guinea Pigs’.
Work through the Reading PowerPoint and complete today’s written task. The chapter is attached below.
Here is the order we usually follow in class for Reciprocal Reading:
Literacy
Today, your task is to write your letter from the view of Iron Man to the farmers.
Below is a checklist for each table group. Keep referring back to it and by the end of your letter you should have met all of the criteria.
Be sure to use the notes from your planning yesterday. I am looking forward to reading your letters. Remember to send them to me via email and I can read them and post them on our class page.
When you are finished, double check you have included all of the letter writing checklist.
Maths
In maths today, we are going to look at reasoning questions. These are like our investigation lessons we have in school. Make notes, be creative, your working out does not need to be neat. Get that brain thinking.
You have two questions and they both have more than one answer. Think about all the different possibilities there may be.
Your first question is a riddle. Guess my number, use the riddle to work out which numbers they may be describing.
The second question is to find out as many solutions as possible that answer the statement.
Remember to show resilience and perseverance in these types of questions.
Email me all of the possibilities you have. Let’s see who has the most! The challenge is on.
The answers are attached but for parents only. You can work through the answers with a parent once you have completed the questions.
