Morning Ahlberg class, today we have a dance but with days of the week and rhyming words, can you spot the rhyming words? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VD6SCq-OlhI
For today’s learning we have…
Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:
Click on the link for Set 1 sounds.
There is also “Storytime with Nick” and some poems that your child can learn and perform.
Today we are going to play a game, we have got Picnic on Pluto for you to feed the two alien’s Obb and Bob. Obb eats nonsense words and Bob eats real words. Read each word carefully using your Fred talk and feed it to the right alien. https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/PicnicOnPluto.html
Today we are practising our spellings. Today we are going to be looking at syllables. A syllable is a chunk/beat of sound. Each syllable must have at least one vowel or “Y” in it. Some words have 1 syllable and some have more. Go through the words on the strip, clap the beats in each word. How many claps did you hear? Sort into how many syllables the names have.
To warm up join in with this song about the months of the year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSl-SbVz2oA
What month are we in now? What month is next?
Today we are going to recap our learning of partitioning numbers. Click on the worksheet below and practise breaking the numbers apart.
Remember to log in to education city to see your homework activities for this week.
Have a great weekend and I’ll see you next week. J
