Maths
Today we are going to be adding by counting on. For this we are going to need to use our brains and our fingers.
Read the number sentence and put a circle around the largest number. You are going to count on from this number. Use your fingers to count on.
Complete the number sentences by counting on. When you have done that, try the word problems.
Spelling
Look at the words party, happy, and lady.
What sound can you hear at the end of each word? What letter is making that sound?
Look at happy– there is a double letter (consonant) in the word happy. After a short vowel sound the consonant doubles.
In lady there is a long vowel sound so we don’t double the consonant.
Look at the list of words on the activity sheet.
Highlight the letter that is making the “ee” at the end of the word. Then cut and sort according to whether the word has a single consonant or a double consonant.
Now can you spell the words correctly to match each picture?
Try seeing if you can find all the words in the word search.

*To know what to do if I am worried
What do you think it means when we are worried?
Worry is when we think unhelpful things about a situation before it has happened.
Look at the power point. Talk about it with a grown up.
Now think of times you feel worried and ways you can cope with your worries.
Complete the activity sheet.
