Maths
Year 1: This is recapping your learning from a couple of weeks ago on addition to get your brains working.

Today we are going to be learning about weight.
In the class we use scales to measure objects. If something is heavy the sales drop down. If something is light the scales rise. It is similar when you go on a see-saw with your mom or dad. They go to the floor and you go in the air because you are lighter. Watch the video to see this.
You have done some super learning this week, I thought it would be nice for us to go outside and put our learning to the test. I have attached a scavenger hunt for you to complete this weekend with a grown up. Have fun!
Year 2: Today I want you to compare, describe and solve practical problems for mass and weight. You will need to think carefully about what you already know about how much things weigh, this means how heavy something is.

Literacy
Did you enjoy finding out about spiders? I hope you kept all your facts safe because now you are going to use them.
I would like you to think of a way of showing off or displaying this information.
Today I am going to let you decide how you would like to do this.
Here are a few ideas.
Make a colourful poster with pictures / photographs with sentences.
Make a model or art work of a spider and attach some of the facts. (e.g. lift the flap)
Make a hanging spider mobile displaying spider facts.
Make your own booklet about spiders.
Make a game where people find out about spiders.
Make fact cards about spiders. (like Top Trumps)
Make a video. Perhaps you could be a reporter like David Attenborough!
You might be able to think of another way. What is important is you decide!
Have fun with it and I look forward to seeing what you have all done.
P.E
Our PE lesson today is a bit different; we’ve had some lovely weather so I think it would be nice for us to get out and play some bat and ball games. It doesn’t matter what type of bat you have and if you don’t have a bat you could use your hand. Follow the worksheet below for your PE lesson.

Music
Last music lesson we learnt about rhythm. This week we are going to be learning about pitch. Pitch is the word we use to describe how low or high a sound is.
Here is Meg to show us about pitch.
Can you ask the people in your households to make a high pitch? Who can make the highest pitch sound? Now ask them to make a low pitch? Who can make the lowest pitch sound?
