Literacy

Today is the last day of our under the sea learning! We have attached a reading task to see what you have learnt and remembered. There is also an extra writing frame to help practise our sentence writing. Don’t forget to let us know how you get on.

Topic

Have some Friday fun. Today we have attached some fish science experiments. Everything you need is in the information packs. We liked the diving rainbow fish experiment! Try one or a few and let us know what you find out!

Maths

Good morning children, this week in maths we are learning about length, height and distance. Let’s start our maths off with recalling doubles, double 1 is 2, double 2 is 4, double 3 is 6 and double 4 is 8.

Today we want you to build, have fun and enjoy exploring building different objects, you could use tin cans to build, boxes in the house or any other household objects you could possibly use. Can you build a tower 5 object tall? Can you build a taller tower? Can you build a shorter tower? Can you and your adult build a tower? Whose tower is taller? Whose tower is shorter? Can you build on the same height?

Let’s finish off our maths with counting out objects from a larger group. Get a large group of counting objects and ask your child to get a certain amount of the pile, with them counting each object as they take it out.
