Use the same document as the one from yesterday to answer these questions. They are similar to those we use in assessments, let me know how you do via email.

Question -

  1. On page 2 of the fact file there are a number of boxes 'A Lasting legacy and Each year around...' What are these used for?
  2. What type of text is this? - we give a special name to stories about somebody else's life.
  3. In what year did William begin to earn a lot of money?
  4. In the fact box, A Lasting Legacy, find and copy a phrase that means things may not be as good as they look.
  5. Match the facts to their headings:

Writing - Vocabulary including synonyms

In today's lesson, we are going to be generating some vocabulary based on a short clip of "Macbeth". You will need a pen and a paper and can pause the video to write your answers. The lesson starts with  a warm up, then we're going to generate vocabulary and then finally we're going to write some sentences with the vocabulary that we have generated.

Green , Yellow ,Orange and Red - I would like to see you including similes in your work.

Blue - as you watch the video write down some adjectives that you think are super descriptive words. Write your sentences including these words.

Maths - Prodigy

Today I would like all children to access prodigy, please email me if you need your login details.

The questions will change each week to closely match what you have been asked to do in your learning this week.

So today login, as I can see who has accessed the site each day. Have a go at a few questions. I

I can track these answers, using the website, I will be able to see how well you have done. Don't worry, after a few questions the game will go back to asking you a little bit of everything, until next time I make it ask specific questions.

Art - Banksy

Today I would like you to begin by thinking about the message that an artist might be trying to communicate through the art they create. Look at The Pigeon Mural (document attached below) and jot down your thoughts.

What kind of birds can you see?

Are the birds all the same?

How are the birds different?
What do the pigeons represent?
What does the sparrow represent?
How do you feel about the banners the pigeons are holdings?

What does this remind you of in our society?

Look at the powerpoint to find out a little more about the artist, does this change any of your answers?

Now have a go at copying the pigeon mural - you can use pencil, ink, paint or anything that you have at home.
