Morning Ahlberg class, it is Friday, what day was it yesterday can you remember? What day will it be tomorrow then? Thought we’d recap our continents song, can you remember it all? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmvw3sTGajs
For today’s learning we have…
RWI
Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:
Set 1 sounds at 9:30am
Set 2 sounds at 10:00am
Set 3 sounds at 10:30am
They have updated these lessons to include word time for set 1 speed sounds and spelling for set 2 and 3.
There is also “Storytime with Nick” three times a week (Mon, Wed & Fri at 2pm) and some poems that your child can learn and perform.
SPaG
Today is our handwriting and spelling day. See the worksheet I’ve attached and remember your lead ins and always start on the line. If you don’t have a printer you can practise them on a piece of paper at home.
Literacy
Did you enjoy the poem you read and performed yesterday?
Today you are going to write a poem following the same pattern. Your poem will include the days of the week and will have names of the people travelling and how they travelled. Finally, your poem must rhyme!
When you have written your poem, read and perform your poem to a grown up. I would love to see your poems.
Maths
G/Y/R/O groups:
Today we are learning about turns. We are going to be using words like half turn, quarter turn and full turn. Remember if you get stuck have a go at cutting the shape or picture out and physically turning it. I’ve attached a poster and powerpoint to explain your learning.
After you have finished your work, you can watch this video clip and have a go at the game. You could create paths for your grown up or brother or sister to follow at home.

Remember to practise your times tables with Times Tables Rock Stars.
Blue group:
Let’s start off by ordering objects by size: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/early-years/lets-compare
Your learning today is about positional language, this is when we explain where something is. We can use words like behind, next to, in between, in front of, under and on top of.
Computing
This week we are going to be learning about programming. Because a robot is a machine we have to program it to do things. It only does what we tell it to do
At school you might have tried to program a beebot, this is called a floor robot. Click on the link below to watch the information about programs and then there is a game for you to play.

PE
Our PE slot was going to be different this term, so for this week we are going to be having our PE session on a Friday. I would like you to choose one of Joe Wick’s PE sessions from this week to complete. Remember to try your best, I’ll be doing it home as well.
