Greenfield Primary School

Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Friday

It's Fabulous Friday!

Good Morning Reception! We've made it to the end of another week of home learning. You and your grownups are all doing a fantastic job and we are so proud of you!

Please drop us an email to carle@greenfield.walsall.sch.uk - we love to see pictures of your fantastic learning!

Get Moving!

We are going to get ourselves ready for our learning by joining in with one of Mrs Evans’ favourite songs, footloose!

RML:

Don't forget your last RML lesson of this week! Access it at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo7fbLgY2oA_cFCIg9GdxtQ

We have seen some absolutely amazing pieces of work that you have done during phonics this week! Could you send us some today?

Literacy:

We are going to end this week by learning a nursery rhyme. What nursery rhymes can you remember from last week? Today’s nursery rhyme is called Old McDonald had a Farm. Have you heard of this one before? See if you can join in.

Today we would like you to make a picture of what your farm would look like if you were a farmer. What animals would you have and where would they live? You can use the cut outs below or draw your own. We want you to label your farm animals.

Maths:

For our maths learning today we are going to be combining amounts. Click the link below to start today’s learning:

Your task today is going to be to carefully count the dots on each side of the domino and then count how many dots there are altogether. Then play the game of dominoes with your grownup. You can print the dominoes here or use or make your own at home.

PSHE:

In today’s session, we will be thinking about germs on our clothes; how they are transmitted onto our skin and clothes, and the need to keep clean. We will look into how we can stay clean by washing and changing clothes, and look at the functions of a washing machine. The children will work on creating a visual of a ‘before and after’ of their uniform following a visit to school. From this, we will explore other ways of keeping clean so that we can keep healthy.
