Friday 12.3.21

Yesterday we finished reading Chaper 2 of Beauty and the Beast. Today we are going to read a  poem together.  It is called: ‘My Hat!’

Open up Friday’s reading powerpoint in the Resources section below:

  • Reading - Friday 12.3.21

Read through the instructions - they will guide you through the activities you are going to do when you have read the poem carefully.

Yesterday we learned how to plan our setting description. Today we are going to write a description of the Prince’s palace, using everything we have learned and practised this week. 😊

Go to the Writing Resources at the end of this section and open up this document:

Writing – Friday 12.3.21-  read through the instructions which will guide you through how to write a setting description, using all of your senses.  When you get to the end, find your group activity and complete this one.

This week we have been practising our number and place value skills.  Today we are going to apply these skills to solve lots of different problems mentally.

Log in to Education City and complete the learn screen and the activities we have set for you.

Then open up the resource section below and complete the activity sheet and as much as you can of the Skills Test.

PSHE Activities:

This week we have been doing lots of PSHE activities to help us to settle back into school.  This afternoon we are going to do creative activities:

1)  Create a Mother's Day Card

We are going to create a lovely card that we can give to our Mums or another special person in our lives. :-)

Open up the resources section below and read about how Mother's Day is celebrated around the world.  Then you can start creating your card!

2)  Mindful Colouring:

Doing a colouring activity can help us with our mental wellbeing - it can help us to relax and feel calm, as we take our time and concentrate on our picture.  This afternoon we are going to choose one of the bunting designs (in the resource section below) and colour it mindfully.  We will put them all together in a class display !
