Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Dahl Class

Welcome to Dahl Class

Class teacher: Miss Brown

Teaching assistant: Miss Dorsett

Our class author is Roald Dahl! Dahl wrote Matilda, The Twits and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We will look at his books throughout the year alongside our exciting topics.

During author week we looked at Roald Dahl's life and created a biography on him. We also created some Quentin Blake style illustrations using water colours!

So far, we have read The Twits and The Magic Finger!

Our first Topic is Italian Adventures and the children will be learning all about the Romans and the Celts too. Below is an overview of what else they will cover during the Autumn term.

Dahl Class will have Mrs Howship on a Monday afternoon for RE and Music.

They will also have Mrs Fergusson on a Wednesday afternoon for Spelling and French.

PE is taught on a Monday morning and a Tuesday afternoon, so be sure to have PE kits in school on these days.

Homework will be sent out on Fridays and must be returned before the following Friday. Home reading books will be changed weekly. Please sign your child's reading record so we can see what they've been reading at home! The children have the opportunity to change their reading books every Thursday during our library time, ready to be returned on Friday.
