Welcome to Reception!

Mrs Daniel, Miss Stanley, Mrs Sheldon, Mrs Howship and Ms Begum would like to welcome you to our Reception webpage.

Carle 1 and Carle 2 will start at 8:40am and end at 2:45pm.

Parents/guardians need to be wearing a mask on school premises. Appropriate social distancing must also be maintained.

A PE kit will not be needed yet this term, however it is really important that your child brings a set/s of named spare clothes.

During the year we will keep you up to date with all of our learning adventures, share our achievements and pass on all of our news.

Remember, one of the most important parts of the Reception curriculum is 'Communication and Language'. It is vital that you talk to your child about how they are feeling and about any worries that they may have. Encourage your child to listen to others at home, follow instructions involving several ideas or actions and ask to answer questions.

The children have been introduced to our feelings monsters. We are using these characters to help the children talk comfortably about their emotions and how they are feeling. Below are some pictures of our feelings monsters, in case you want to talk about them at home:
