This is where Year 6 will show who they are and what they can do.
Class Teacher: Mr Redfern
Teaching Assistants: Mrs Beech and Miss Watkins.
Our current topic is: Viking Adventure
We are working hard on our new topic Viking adventure. Here is some of the work we have done so far:
On Tuesday 16th October we had a music workshop from Rock steady Music School. We listened to Queen with Kiearan the music teacher. We made a year 6 band. This is what it was like! Do you like it?
These are the viking longboat models we made during our stunning start. We tested them to see if they would float - guess what? They did! We also had a competition against year 5 to see which class had made the best boats - our boat held the most weight before it sank.
Here is a picture of our classroom. This is where we do most of our learning. Our reading tree shows our new reading focus and the texts we have used. Come and visit our room to see what we have been reading.
This board just outside of our room shows what British Values mean to us. We shared our thoughts on democracy and law, freedoms and what we think it means to be British.
Some things to remember:
Below is our termly overview sheet. A copy of this should have been sent home. On it, it has various ways you can help support your child with their learning at home. Please take some time with your child to work through these activities and ideas.
